McRoberts - Strauss

Pauline H. McRoberts Strauss, age 93, of Uniontown, formerly of Castle Shannon, passed away on August 3, 2018. She is survived by a large extended family which includes many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David McRoberts; second husband, Millard Strauss; parents, William and Virginia Henshaw; and siblings, Jessie Ford and Homer Henshaw, both of Uniontown. Pauline graduated from California Teachers College, received a Masters in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, and was a devoted first grade teacher for the majority of her career at Keystone Oaks School District. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. In the summer, she and her first husband traveled with a Camper Club throughout the US and Mexico. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of Beechwood Court Personal Care Home and Amedisys of Uniontown for the tender care they provided. A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 11:30 AM, in the chapel of the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
